“Love everyone, serve everyone, remember God, and tell the truth.” — Neem Karoli Baba I suppose the above quote can be interpreted in a variety of fashions. In a way, the directive above sounds pretty clear. If I believe there is only One Power and One Presence in the Universe, then we are all one, part of the One. Therefore, if I can love one person, I love everyone. If I can serve one person, I serve all. To remember God is to realize that God is all there is, the only Reality, the Whole, the One. Love, serve, and remember. I am reminded of the song “Love, Serve and Remember” by John Astin. In it, we are reminded that we came to earth to love, serve, and remember. I have been listening to John Astin’s album “Remembrance” for decades, but it wasn’t until I just did a little research that I learned that John Astin is not only a masterful songwriter and musician, but also works as a research scientist doing cutting-edge research in the area of mind-body medicine. The song “Love, Serve, and Remember” was inspired by the words of Maharaj-ji, aka Neem Karoli Baba, when he told …Continue reading →
Here are a couple more poems that Spirit sent through David Schuck. To bask in another one, you can read “Divine Love” posted last month. [All poems used with permission.] Pure Love By David Schuck We are perfection in the making, pure love from above. A mirror image, a reflection, a shadow of what we truly will become. As we live and grow we learn to cast away the shackles of discontent and strife. Look inward and upward for your strength. Let the powers that be, give you strength. Let them do their magic upon you. Again look inward and upward for your strength. The Light of Pure Love By David Schuck Basking in the light of love, seeing and feeling pure love from above. There is no feeling quite so grand than the pure light of love. The peace so rare, so inviting, nothing can compare to the pure light of love from above. Your entire being, spirit and soul is permeated by the light of love. Your whole body shines in the light, no darkness can be seen. Being bathed in pure love, being showered by the light, these moments so rare, these moments so pure.
“The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, and peace.” – Galatians 5:22 “God’s Love always embraces us, God’s Wisdom is always within us, and God’s Joy is ours to share. “I dwell in the house of Love. My dwelling place is filled with peace and eternal calm. Love attends me in my home of the Soul, and Joy awaits upon me in the “Secret Place of the Most High. “…the sunlight of the Spirit shines through the clouds of depression.” – “365 Science of Mind: A Year of Daily Wisdom from Ernest Holmes,” May 30 The aforementioned makes me feel that I am not alone… and another reading this morning “confirmed” that 😊. “We are not alone—even if we find ourselves temporarily without human companionship.” – “In God’s Care*: Daily Meditations on Spirituality in Recovery,” May 30 *As We Understand God If at any time I feel alone, I can pray, meditate, read spiritual literature, reach out to friend, or help someone in need. I can also sing, which is food for my soul and my connection to Spirit. Soon the Divine Presence’s Love, Joy, and Peace will be upon me like the sunlight of the Spirit shines through …Continue reading →
Today was a day of going deeper into fostering friendships here in my “new” hometown. Having relocated here when the pandemic was in high gear last summer, I’ve only been stepping out fully for a month or two. I’m still getting used to being able to socialize again and focusing it on growing local friendships, hopefully meaningful ones and ones where there is a common perspective on Spirit and metaphysics. I had decided to take the 90-minute drive north to Flagstaff, AZ to accomplish some shopping related to outdoor activities. I let my small women’s group know in case anyone was interested in a road trip—I saw it as a way to spend some time outside of our bi-monthly meetings to get to know one another deeper. Two women planned to join me, but unfortunately this morning one was feeling ill and had to cancel. Laure joined me on today’s adventure and we started off with driving a different route than I was accustomed to, that I didn’t even know about, and that she had suggested. It was a lovely, scenic drive. I was most aware of the contribution that being with others brings: friends expand my world, in small …Continue reading →
I “found” a new friend—after four years—the other night! Curious? Ask me. David is a poet. He gets inspired by the Divine and words just flow from his fingertips onto the keyboard. I resonate with what Spirit has poured through him and wanted to share, what seem like messages to me, with others. David has granted me permission to post his poem, “Divine Love,” here. Divine Love By David Schuck From the Divine we were created, from the Divine love came forth. We are the created, we are the love, the spirit of the divine lives within us all. Love, pure love, power, pure power, given freely to all from the creator of all. All that which is true, all that which is pure, is truth from the spirit of love above. Set yourself free from your worldly worries and embrace the power of infinite love, of infinite power, of infinite happiness and joy.
I am so filled with joy and gratitude for Spirit’s computer lesson I received today! No, I wasn’t enrolled in software training or the like. My personal laptop had an Internet communication connection problem and I got through it with flying colors! That’s why I’m in my joy and gratitude (although the fact that the problem was resolved is nice too). When I say I got through it with flying colors I am referring to the way I conducted myself throughout the three-plus hours of troubleshooting… how I showed up to myself, the automated ISP tech support helper, the human ISP tech support person, and the Geek Squad rep. Since my work laptop was connecting to the Internet just fine, I knew the issue was specific to my personal laptop, so my first step was not to check with the Internet Service Provider (ISP). I started by researching and following troubleshooting tips online; they didn’t solve the problem. Nevertheless, I appreciated the online knowledge share, especially since I know the time and effort that goes into creating such content. I remained calm and peaceful, moving onto the next step. I contacted the ISP so they could check the Wi-Fi router …Continue reading →
In the wee hours of the morning while still in bed, Spirit put into my mind today’s blog post, apparently a continuation of yesterday’s, Be Loving. Be loving. Be loving. Be loving. Be. Be. Be. Just be! When I Just Be, I am in the present moment, I am conscious of Spirit, of Oneness. All that exists at that time are the attributes of Spirit and, by extension, the attributes of me and you. All There Is includes Truth, Compassion, Life, Peace, Joy, Hope, and, of course, Love. When we Just Be, we Love.
As I was in meditation this morning, the thought came to me to focus on the sentence “Be loving” throughout the course of my day. That uplifted me as I felt it surely was direct guidance from Spirit since I’ve been praying and asking to be more loving in my interactions. I was ready to chant “Be loving” all through the day. Then I checked my email and took notice of the subject line from my DailyOM message: “Sending Love Ahead to Your Day.” Wow, looks like Spirit is truly here helping me… guess I’m going to experience some synchronicity around this today. The message read, in part, “… While our lives are busy and frequently replete with challenges, they are also rich with joy and experiences worth savoring. We can attract this natural bliss into our lives by starting each day with a message of love. When you send love ahead to your day, that love will manifest itself in your interpersonal interactions, your professional endeavors, and your domestic duties. Tasks and circumstances once made trying by your own anxiety are transformed by your love, and you will find yourself approaching life’s subtle nuances with great affection.” – DailyOM …Continue reading →
I’ve not been pleased with my attitude or behavior towards others of late, yet have not seemed to be able to get back to feeling and behaving as the loving person that I am. I’ve been imploring Spirit to help me. As a gift to myself and as a reminder of the love I am and give, tonight I listened to the What’s App recording of a spiritual mind treatment my dear friend Esther said for me, for us, last month. For some background, you can read a post about our first meeting, now known as our friend-a-versary. We each have individual nicknames, but we share the one of Dahlink, a throwback to the New York City vernacular we both grew up around. Here’s Esther’s heartfelt, affirmative prayer intended specifically for me and our friendship—what an honor she bestowed on me, what a delight! I hope your heart too is touched by the love embedded in her words, reminding you of the love that you are, that love is all there is. I know that love is all there is. And that love is the same thing as what we call God, that infinite, abundant blessing that is divinity within …Continue reading →
“Those whose behavior makes them the most difficult to love, need our love the most. Their lack of inner peace and self-doubt pushes them to the behavior that makes us want to turn away. We need not turn away. God invites us to love all our fellow travelers fully and unconditionally. Negative attitudes can provide our personal lessons in acceptance and serenity, and we will develop gratitude for these lessons, in time.” – “In God’s Care*: Daily Meditations on Spirituality in Recovery,” May 5 *As We Understand God This excerpt reminds me of A Course in Miracles concept that everything is love—either giving of love or a cry for love (fear). When I can look at a person from that higher perspective, I can often get to a place of compassion and empathy. They are doing the best they can (as am I) and by genuinely accepting that truth, I can forgive their behaviors and actions, let go of judgement much easier, and be loving, understanding, and compassionate. We are all spiritually ill, to one degree or another. When in a difficult situation or relationship with another, noting all are holy encounters, when I come from that higher view and …Continue reading →
